Pubs will be allowed reopen in Scotland from Monday – but only if they DON’T sell alcohol

Check the date, no it’s not April 1st, this is genuine.

Pubs and restaurants in the central Scotland can reopen on Monday with a ban on alcohol sales and a 6pm curfew. Hospitality locations in the area were forced to close earlier this month when a breaker lockdown was imposed to control the spread of the virus. It was announced last week that the restrictions will apply until November 2nd when a new five-tier system goes into effect. Prime Minister Nicola Sturgeon said that most of central Scotland, that includes Glasgow and Edinburgh, would likely be below level three.

It means that pubs can reopen their doors again, but that they cannot sell any alcohol, they can only sell food and soft drinks and they must have their doors closed by 6pm.
