A Circuit Court judge was told that a 55-yr-old Nigerian man who acted as a doctor had undertaken a botched serious medical circumcision on a 10-month-old baby girl in Co Longford.
According to RTE, Philip Ogbewe has a food shop in Drogheda, Co Louth and is a father of six. It’s understood that he pleaded guilty to endangering the child. He was paid €200 for the sinister practice.
At a trial before the Longford Circuit Court, Judge Keenan Johnson said that Ogbewe is sentenced to 4 years in prison with the final year suspended.
The little was rushed to hospital where he stayed for a number of weeks but thankfully has made a full recovery from the sadistic injuries Ogbewe carried out.
