A Cork pensioner has been left frightened, shaken and emotional after he was savagely beaten by a group of teenage thugs at the weekend.
According to Corkbeo, 66-yr-old John Wall was standing on the street, minding his own business when a group of teenage boys and girls asked to use his phone then without any notice, viciously punched in the face and had his wallet and wedding ring stolen, including the ring of his late wife.
Speaking to Corkbeo here, his son said that his father is very shaken as a result of the unprovoked attack and that he’s afraid to leave his home.
Gardai are looking in to the incident and have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
