Constance Marten (35) and Mark Gordon (48) pleaded not guilty to five charges relating to their daughter Victoria during a hearing at the Old Bailey on Thursday.
They are accused of causing the girl’s death by gross negligence between January 4 and February 27, the complaint said was Child A, reports Sky.
They face charges of concealing a body, concealing the birth of a child, child abuse and perverting the course of justice by allowing the death of a child.
They had been missing since January 5 and were arrested in Brighton on February 27.
Victoria’s body was found on March 1, wrapped in a plastic bag under a diaper, in an open shed near an overgrown allotment plot.
The pair are expected to appear at the Old Bailey on January 2. Another preliminary hearing was scheduled for December 8, reports Sky.
The pair were reported missing after their car broke down near junction four of the M61 motorway near Bolton in January.
The pair were spotted in Brighton by a member of the public just before 9.30pm on February 27.
