Many people on social media are querying why no stern warning was issued for Salthill in Galway after torrential rains and strong winds battered the promenade along the beautiful western seaboard.
The Latin Quarter Facebook page posted a video showing the extreme weather with calls for “why there was no warning that this was going to happen”.
