The RAF have confirmed that an engineer has sadly died following a crash in North Wales on Tuesday.
In a statement released on Tuesday evening, a spokesperson for the the British Air Force said that an engineer was tragically killed whilst a pilot was seriously injured in the accident which occurred at Anglesey Air base on Tuesday afternoon.
It is understood the engineer was killed when a Red Arrows jet suddenly crashed during a training exercise at the base at all 1:30pm yesterday afternoon.
In a statement released on Tuesday a spokesperson for the RAF said the following: “It’s with great sadness that the RAF can confirm the death of an engineer from the RAF aerobatics team The Red Arrows in a tragic accident today.”
“The engineer’s family have been informed and have asked for a 24-hour period of grace before further details are released.”
