Rail services between Dublin and Galway disrupted after train hits a herd of cows





A number of rail services between Dublin and Galway were disrupted this afternoon, after a train hit a herd of cows.

It is understood that a train servicing the Dublin Heuston to Galway line collided with the animals near Tullamore, Co. Offaly, at around 4.30pm.

Rail commuters in the west of Ireland have been advised to expect delays for a time today.
