Ireland’s current heatwave and prolonged spells of sunshine could soon be at an end as forecasters say cooler temperatures are on the horizon.
Although Met Eireann’s initial heat warning will remain in place until Friday, the national forecaster say rainfall and cloudier conditions are expected over the coming days.
According to latest weather charts Northern parts of the country will see cloudy conditions and some showers on Wednesday with temperatures expected to dip ever so slightly.
Although Thursday is expected to remain relatively dry with temperatures expected to reach the low to mid 20s, Met Eireann say much cooler conditions along with persistent showers will arrive by the weekend.
It is expected that temperatures will drop to the high teens by Saturday with heavy showers expected in most areas.
