
The national forecaster has issued two weather warnings today, due to heavy rainfall across the south and east of the country.
The first warning covers Cork and Kerry, and will be in place until 4pm today.
The second warning affects Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Tipperary, and Waterford. It kicked in at 9am, and will remain in place until 8pm.
Meanwhile, Ireland may see the tail end of Hurricane Lorenzo by the end of the week, with very strong winds and torrential downpours.
