Over 40 houses evacuated in Dublin overnight after suspicious device is spotted in the front garden of a property




A total of 46 houses sited on the Oak Green estate in Santry, Dublin, had to be evacuated on Sunday evening after a suspicious package was spotted in the area.

The bomb squad were called to examine the device, which was eventually deemed to be non-viable. It was retrieved for later examination.

Residents were allowed back into their homes at around 4.30am.
