Iceland has issued an urgent recall notice for a chicken product due to the presence of an illegal pesticide.
The product in question is the pre-cooked chicken slices. The batches affected have use-by-date of 20/12/2021 and 21/12/2021 for the 115g packs of hot and spicy, and 20/12/2021 for the 115g packs of sweet chilli.
The product is believed to contain ethylene oxide, a chemical banned for foods sold in the European Union.
