Car makers Volvo and Subaru have issued recall notices over safety concerns about some 5,700 cars sold across Ireland.
Volvo is recalling 5,225 cars, including S80, S60, V70, XC70, V60, XC60, V60CC, V40, V40CC, S90 and V90 models after the company discovered that a plastic component of the engines fitted on these models was prone to melting, which may affect performance.
Subaru is recalling a number of its Impreza, Forester, WRX ST and XV models due to an issue with brake lights. Over 500 cars are believed to be affected by this recall across Ireland.
The manufacturers will contact all customers in due course.
