Three Sudanese migrants have been arrested in France in connection with a stabbing rampage that left two people dead and several others wounded in the country which is currently on lockdown as part of its battle with the Covid-19 virus.
The arrests came as prosecutors launched an investigation into “murder linked to a terrorist enterprise” and “association with terrorist wrongdoers” after the rampage through a string of shops in the riverside town of Romans-sur-Isere.
The alleged attacker, Abdallah Ahmed-Osman, a Sudanese refugee in his 30s who lives in the town — was arrested without any resistance while one his acquaintances Ahmed-Osman (28) was also arrested at his home following the murderous attack.
A third man, also identified as an asylum seeker, was arrested over the weekend as well.
