Some hoemowners who were hoping to get refund from Irish Water by the year’s end may have to wait that little bit longer.
The news comes as the company’s Head of Customer Strategy and Capacity,Yvonne Harris, revealed this morning that refunds are being delayed due to the hold up of legislation being passed in the Dail.
Speaking on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland programme Ms Harris said the refunds might not come until the new year, but once the new legislation is passed customers across the country will start to receive refunds.
She added that Irish Water plan to issue in the region og 30,000 cheques per day once they can get the go ahead to issue the refunds.
