There could be good news for hundreds of thousands of homeowners nationwide as a leading Sinn Fein TD has claimed that the much Water charges system is completely “finished”, and all those who have paid will be entitled to a refund.
The latest revelation comes after Sinn Fein TD Eoin O’Broin and Oireachtas committee on water charges member, claimed that the group have agreed in principle to refund all those who paid their water bills.
Speaking earlier today Mr O’Broin said the water charges were “finished”, and the committee have agreed the metering programme should be scrapped immediately.
Although the committee’s recommendations have to be approved by the Dáil, Mr O’Brien claimed everyone should be given a full refund.
