The caretaker Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has made an effort to put the public’s mind at rest by declaring that he’s to head up a new coronavirus committee.
Varadkar said that this is a new virus and a virus that we don’t know everything about yet. The caretaker Taoiseach said that their advice and action and policy may change as we they know more facts in relation to the virus over the coming days.
The Fine Gael leader went on to say that there is a moderate to high risk in respect to covid-19. A decision on whether St Patrick’s Day parades would go ahead will be made in due course.
We may need to open new ICU units that are closed and could be opened.
