Met Eireann has confirmed that weather conditions will remain cold and wet over the next 48 hours, before temperatures rise by the weekend.
It’s been a rather cold and miserable two-week period, weather wise at least, but there seems to be a glimmer of hope. Come Saturday, temperatures are set to rise to 12C-13C, though a lot of rain is forecast for Saturday too.
Temperatures will drop slightly back on Sunday again, with just scattered showers and westerly winds across most of Ireland.
