Remains of young man missing in Dublin for over a year found in Howth




Gardaí have confirmed the discovery of the remains of missing 22-year-old Andrew Feeney in Dublin following a DNA analysis by Forensic Science Ireland, reports The Mirror.

Andrew Finney was last seen on Friday, May 6 at 7.30am at Braemore Cottage, Balbriggan, Co Dublin.

At the time of his appearance last year, the gardaí described him as 5’9″ tall and of stocky build.

Gardaí confirmed the discovery of Andrew’s remains, saying: “Following the discovery of human remains in the Howth area of County Dublin on Sunday 2nd July 2023 and subsequent DNA analysis by Forensic Science Ireland, the missing person appeal for Andrew Finni has been stood down,” reports The Mirror.

No further media action is required and no further information is available to the public at this time, they said.

“An Garda Síochána would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this matter,” a garda spokesperson added, reports The Mirror.
