Renault issues recall order for more than 25,000 cars

Around 27,000 Renault Captur vehicles have been recalled by the company over an issue with the braking system.

Cars manufactured in the UK and Ireland are affected by the recall, with around 1,400 Captur cars produced between January 2013 and November 2014 likely needing repairs.

The recall has been prompted by incorrectly positioned wheel arch liners, which may cause the part to rub against the brake nose.

A spokesperson for the company has said that drivers would be alerted to the problem by a light coming on their dashboard.

If you are a Captur owner and think your car may be at risk, contact the nearest Renault dealer as soon as possible.
