Repairs are still underway at the Kerch Bridge, with Ukraine likely waiting for the work to be completed before hitting it again, probably the very day after repairs are done, for maximum effect.
The bridge, Vladimir Putin’s pride and joy and a key supply route to Crimea, was partially demolished in October 2022.
The attack represented a major embarrassment to the ailing Russian President at the time, and it’s now more than likely that Ukraine will target the bridge a second time once the expected counter-offensive gets underway over the coming weeks. Severing the connection between the Crimean Peninsula and the Russian mainland would logically be a prelude to launching the offensive.
