The Republic of Ireland’s crucial Euro 2020 qualifying match against Switzerland will go ahead as planned after a pitch inspection passed.
The news comes as the playing surface at the Stade Geneve was inspected in the past hour in order to determine if the game can be played this evening.
It is understood there were concerns that the pitch was waterlogged following a spell of heavy rain in Geneva this afternoon.
Ireland go into the game knowing that a win would clinch a spot at next summer’s finals.
