ESB Group announced a significant increase in earnings for the first half of the year amid rising energy prices on international markets and rising consumer bills.
According to the half-year result of the group, the profit after taxes and special effects amounts to 390 million euros.
This was more than triple the profit of €128 million in the same period last year. At just under €3.7 billion, sales were up from the previous year’s figure of just under €2.2 billion.
The group reported an operating profit before exceptional items of €357 million, a slight decrease of €6 million compared to the same period last year.
