A major search and rescue operation has been launched off the coast of Cork this evening, after a fisherman was reported overdue.
A boat was then located adrift off Cape Clear, with no one on board.
The missing fisherman had been spotted in the area earlier in the day.
Units of the Irish Coastguard, including an helicopter and the Naval Service vessel, LE Orla, are combing the area looking for the man.
