Restaurateurs Derry and Sallyanne Clarke were interviewed on last night’s Late Late Show where they appealed to the government to help businesses in this hour of need.
Just prior to the Minister for Finance Paschal Donohue being interviewed by Ryan Tubridy, the owners of L’Ecrivain Restaurant on Dublin’s Baggot Street, said that the government can do multiple things to help business owners.
Ideas mentioned were repaying the last 3 months VAT, putting a stay on loans or possibly more money to those who are temporarily off work.
The main message from the couple was to ensure that businesses have working capital so that when all this is said and done that they can get up and working again and continue business as normal once and for all.
