Revenue issues warning to the public over scam text messages




Revenue officials have issued a warning to the public over scam text messages which requests the public to give their personal information via a bogus website.

In public statement Revenue officials said the fraudulent texts asks for a persons details including their PPSN, date of birth and address details.

Officials say that the public should immediately delete such messages as the Revenue would never contact the public via text or email asking them to update their personal information.

They also say that anyone who may have given their personal should contact their bank immediately.
