The tragic upward trend of road deaths continues, after a young man lost his life in a single-car crash in Laois early this morning.
The 22-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving crashed into a wall in Portarlington, Co. Laois, shortly before 4am.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and the body removed to the Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise.
