The death toll on our roads continues to rise steadily, after a man in his 60s was killed by a lorry last night.
The incident happened on the Finuge to Abbeydorney Road at Bealkilla, Lixnaw, Co. Kerry, at around 10:30pm yesterday evening.
The man was struck by a lorry and was rushed to University Hospital Kerry, where he passed away this morning.
This is the 126th road death in Ireland so far this year.
