The tragic trend of road deaths continues, after two people were killed in separate accidents in Co. Tipperary.

The first accident took place on the N62 road near Dovea, Bouladuff, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, in the early hours of Saturday morning. A woman in her mid-60s died after her car collided with a truck there. The truck driver was not injured.

Elsewhere, a male pedestrian in his 50s died in Clonmel when a car struck a pole which fell on top of him.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of both accidents to contact Clonmel Garda Station on 052 – 6177640, the Garda Confidential Line 18000 666 111, or any Garda Station.
