Kentucky joins growing list of U.S states banning abortions on babies with detectable heartbeats making Supreme Court showdown inevitable

The US state of Kentucky has become the latest state to sign into law a bill banning abortions after 8 weeks effectively mimicking the “heartbeat bill” passed in Georgia last month.

Last week while cradling a new-born baby, Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin signed a new law banning abortions after an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable.

So far six states have moved to drastically increase protections for the unborn with Alabama making the most far reaching strides to restrict abortion.

Now the issue looks set to head to the Supreme Court with the most serious challenge to the so-called “Row v Wade” ruling, legalising abortion in the US, since it was made in 1973.

Roe being the name of a young woman who was used by the pro-abortion lobby in the US to help get termination of the unborn legalised.

The young woman, later named as Norma Leah Nelson McCorvey, went on to become one the world’s most outspoken pro-life advocates and claimed she a pawn of a diabolical plot.

However, while several US states have moved to restrict abortion, in Democrat controlled states such as New York legislators have sought to further liberalise laws surrounding the ending of an unborn child’s life.

In the Empire State the Democratic controlled state legislature moved to legalise abortion up the moment of birth and other in the party such as the Governor of Virginia have pushed for “post-birth abortion”, in which a new-born child could be killed after being born.

With the election of President Trump and his appointment of Supreme Court Judges Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh making the supreme a 6 to 3 conservative majority “Roe v Wade” may truly be facing termination.
