The tragic trend of road deaths continues today, following the death of a woman on an Irish road today.
The incident happened in the Mayfield area of Cork this afternoon as a woman in her 50s was hit by two vehicles as she was crossing the road. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body was removed to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem.
