After a car and a pedestrian collided on Saturday night, a man in his 40s lost his life, reports The Mirror.
Around 10.45 p.m., a deadly incident happened on the N54 near Plush, Cloverhill, Co. Cavan. The Gardaà are requesting witnesses.
The male pedestrian, who was in his 40s, suffered fatal injuries. Since then, his corpse has been taken to Cavan General Hospital’s mortuary, where a postmortem examination will be conducted, reports The Mirror.
The car’s male driver, a man in his 20s, was unharmed.
Local detours are in place while the route is blocked for a technical review by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators this morning.
Any witnesses to this accident are being urged to come forward by the GardaÃ, reports The Mirror.
