Tributes paid to Polish man (40s) who sadly died in fire at house in west Dublin

A fire at a residential home in Lucan, Dublin, has claimed the life of a man in his 40s, reports RTE.

It is believed that the man is originally from Poland.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the garda.

He was reportedly residing in a property in Lucan hamlet that had been split up into apartments, reports RTE.

When the alarm was sounded by another building occupant, garda from the neighbouring Lucan Garda Station arrived promptly.

However, when emergency personnel came, the man was declared dead, reports RTE.

When it was determined that the building’s structure was unaffected, a number of inhabitants from an adjacent building who had to evacuate their accommodations while the fire was being suppressed were allowed to return.

An Garda Síochána stated that it was aware of internet discussion containing fake news, misinformation, and disinformation regarding this event.

They urged everyone to independently confirm any information given via messaging applications or published on social media, reports RTE.
