A 21-yr-old has died after being struck by a truck while walking home at 12:30am last night.
The accident occurred on the N1 at Carrockarnan, Drumad, Dundalk, Co Louth.
The driver of the lorry, a man aged in his 30s, was not injured.
The man’s sad death brings a total of 8 people killed on the roads since Friday.
