A US news reporter got reporting on a bank raid got more than he bargained for when the suspected robber returned for a second time.
Adam Sallet of KIMT-TV was reporting on a bank robbery while standing outside Sterling State Bank in Rochester, Minnesota. A bank employee ran out and pointed to the suspect, who had just hit the bank for a second time.
The shocked reporter then says “I have to go. I have to call 911.” The Minnesota State Patrol police have said that a 36-year-old man from Rochester was later pulled over and arrested. During both robberies the suspect presented staff with a note and made off with an undisclosed sum of cash.
Mr Sallet said later: “We always strive to get live breaking news as it happens, but I tell you what we never though we’d be apart of the story kind of like this.”
