A man, aged in his 30s, is due in court tomorrow morning following an alleged assault on Green Party leader Roderic O’Gorman.
The alleged assault happened on Saturday evening while O’Gorman was canvassing in his local community in Dublin.
The man was arrested by gardaà after the alleged assault and has since been charged.
It’s understood the man is due to appear before court at 10.30am on Monday morning with an investigation ongoing.
