It’s not a job that everyone can do.
According to RTE’s Dee Forbes, top presenting jobs are difficult and they’re not as easy as some members of the public make them out to be.
The Director General of the national broadcaster has stirred quite the debate over the past 48 hours after she claimed that the licence fee offers good value for money and has defended the salaries of the broadcaster’s top earners.
Speaking before an Oireachtas Committee on Tuesday, Ms Forbes said that the current licence fee is value for money as the broadcaster produces quality content.
Her remarks have been met with both support and criticism, but the Irish government are delegating a further €10 million to keep the broadcaster afloat.
