RTE News claims Plymouth murderer showed an interest in ‘right wing’ politics despite Chief Constable stating ‘We are not considering terrorism or a relationship with any far-right group’

Jake Davison, the 22 year old shot and killed his mother Maxine Davison, at Drive in the Keyham area of Plymouth.

Davison then went outside on to the street and shot dead Sophie Martyn, 3, and her father Lee Martyn, 43.

He then killed Stephen Washington, 59, in a nearby park, before shooting Kate Shepherd, 66 who later died at Derriford Hospital.

On the RTE 9pm TV news Friday night, the government broadcaster stated “police have ruled out terrorism. Before they were deleted, he was on social media and showed an interest in guns right wing politics and misogyny”.

However on their own RTE website, RTE quotes Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer of Devon and Cornwall Police who said “We are not considering terrorism or a relationship with any far-right group.”
