

RTÉ have confirmed that it plans to cut 200 jobs by 2020 as part of plans that aim to cut costs at the broadcaster.
In an announcement made on Wednesday night, RTÉ’s Dee Forbes confirmed plans that will also see the closure its studios in Limerick, and the closure of Aertel.
The company which is aiming to cut projected costs of €60m over the next three years, also say the RTÉ Guide will be sold and top earners will take a 15% pay cut.
It is understood that senior management will take a 10% pay cut and a pay freeze may be introduced to all staff at the company.
RTÉ say the job cuts and the introduction of cost cutting measures are required in order to tackle spiralling costs at the company.
