Russia has entered a state of civil war as the Wagner mercenary group has seized and fortified at least one city.
The uprising follows allegations by Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin that Russian forces launched a rocket attack on his men, killing many of them.
The well-armed Wagner mercenary group has now reportedly seized the city of Rostov, around 300 miles from Moscow.
There are also reports that Wagner may control the city of Voronezh.
The world is likely witnessing the opening stages of civil war in Russia, an unfortunate and unintended consequence of Vladimir Putin’s doomed invasion of Ukraine.
This in-fighting will enable Ukraine to seize the moment and crush the remnants of the Russian army.
