A Russian politician has said that he thinks repeat child rapists should spend their sentences in hard labour prisons in the Arctic circle.
According to Mail Online, Vyacheslav Volodin has said that paedophiles who repeat their crimes should be given automatic life sentences in harsh Arctic prisons where they could be forced to take part in Siberian mines.
He spoke about how repeat paedophiles should be harshly treated, saying:
“These b******s should undergo the hardest labour, so they remember the crimes they committed every day – and regret them.”
Many social media users have commented on the proposal, saying that they think similar laws should be introduced into this country.
