Ryan: We want to make it easier for people in Cork to get the bus to work, to Church, to the pub – at a cost of €600 million to the hardworking taxpayer

The national transport authority has launched a project to improve bus facilities in Cork. It’ll cost some €600 million of taxpayer money.

The leader of the Green Party, Eamon Ryan was in Cork to launch the massive project, which will see some 65 kilometres of bus lanes in the city.

The aim is to see bus times cut down in an effort to get more people to use public transport.

Eamon Ryan said that the government “wants to make it easier for people in Cork to get the bus to work, to Church, to the pub”, even though it’s going to cost a whopping €600 million to the hardworking taxpayer.
