Ryanair denies that passengers must start paying to download boarding pass

Ryanair has denied recent reports claiming that it has changed its charging policy and started asking passengers to pay for downloading their boarding passes, reports BBC.

Several travelers have taken to social media to complain about a new fee that they were allegedly asked to pay to access their electronic boarding passes online.

According to them, they were only able to download the pass if they paid up to £21 for a seat first, reports BBC.

Otherwise, they had to queue for a paper boarding pass at the airport.

“All Ryanair passengers can pay for a reserved seat if they so wish or if passengers wish to avoid this seat fee, they can select a randomly allocated seat entirely free of charge,” a Ryanair spokesperson said, reports BBC.
