Met Eireann has issued an urgent Status Yellow warning for heavy rainfall affecting seven counties.
The warning, which covers counties Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, and Wicklow, will kick in at 10am on Wednesday morning.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience heavy rainfall, which may lead to localised flooding.
