Ryanair stirs up controversy after allegedly threatening to ‘blacklist’ passengers who claim refunds through their banks

Budget airline Ryanair has stirred up controversy once more, after allegedly threatening to ‘blacklist’ passengers who claim refunds through their banks.

The issue arose amidst the ongoing problems with refunds and vouchers. Some customers who have been waiting for weeks to receive their due refund are now resorting to ‘chargeback’, that is, asking their bank to reverse the Ryanair transaction.

While the chargeback practice is perfectly legal if certain conditions are met (such as having never received the item or serviced purchased), Ryanair has now allegedly threatened to ban customers who attempt to recoup their money from ever flying with Ryanair again.
