Sad: “Magnum” actor Roger E. Mosley dies following car crash

A star of the hit series “Magnum P.I.” has died following a car crash.

According to Sky News, Roger E Mosley was 83 and sustained serious injuries in the accident, prompting his daughter to initially say that he was in a critical condition.  She later confirmed that he had passed away.

Mosley played Theodore “T.C.” Calvin, the helicopter pilot and buddy of Magnum, played by Tom Selleck.  He played the part for 8 series from 1980 to 1988 and was very determined that his character should be a good role model, remarking once in an interview that he never got high, smoked or drank in the show – and he didn’t do any of those things in his own private life either, saying “That’s not what I want black kids to see”.

Mosley was originally recommended for the show by Tom Selleck.  Mosley is survived by his wife of 60 years, Teri, his son, daughter, grandson and several nieces and nephews.
