Sad news tonight, the legendary Coronation Street and Last of the Summer Wine star Jean Alexander has sadly died tonight aged 90, her niece has confirmed.
Jean was best known for playing Hilda Ogden in the soap, and had just turned 90 on Tuesday past.
Jean’s niece Sonia Hearld said:
“She was a great person and she will be missed by her fans around the UK and Ireland.”
