According to reports in the U.S. Fisher-Price have recalled in the region of 34,000 infant swings after receiving a number of reports from consumers that the swings can detach and drop to the ground.
According to Fisher Price the complaints were similar in nature which prompted the recall. The company say the peg in the seat of the swing may not fully engage, and the seat could fall unexpectedly, posing an serious injury risk.
There has been no reports of the incident happening elsewhere but the company have warned anyone from abroad who may have bought the seat to double check their infant swings just as a precautionary measure. It is understood the affected swings were sold in the U.S. stores only but they may have been bought by suppliers eleswhere.
The company say the recall involves three models: Soothing Savanna Cradle ‘n Swing, Sweet Surroundings Cradle ‘n Swing, and the Sweet Surroundings Butterfly Friends Cradle ‘n Swing.
