There’s literally thousands of Facebook statuses and tweets being posted with the hashtag #SaveOurHero in support of Limerick priest Fr Chris O’Donnell.
The posts are coming from mostly younger people who claim the priest is a great man who tries to help them and their community more than anyone has before.
Fr Chris was interviewed on last night’s Miriam O’Callaghan show where he said he doesn’t use Facebook or Twitter but has heard of messages are being sent to Pope Francis on his behalf to keep the popular priest in his current post of the youth ministry at the Limerick Diocesan Pastoral Centre on Denmark Street.
The 43-yr-old is due to he relocated to Dublin later this year but his parishioners aren’t letting him go without a fight.
