In what can only be described as truly outrageous, the number of homeless people rose in August to over 16,000 – according to the latest figures from the Department of Housing.
Commenting on the monthly and quarterly homelessness report, Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien said that the continued increase in access to emergency accommodation is a serious concern.
Meanwhile, the government also say that they’ll do everything they can to facilitate and endless number of migrants flooding into the country by giving them medical cards, social welfare and ensuring that they’ve accommodation.
