The scourge of people left abandoned and languishing on hospital trolleys continues, as the Government is unable or unwilling to take any positive action to resolve it.
Figures released today show that 290 people are listed as waiting for admission today, with University Hospital Limerick reporting the highest number, 34.
The Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise and Beaumont in Dublin report 24 each, while the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore and Cork University Hospital have 23 each, the vast majority on trolleys.
